Recover Mattress: The Eco-Friendly Mattress
The greatest threat to human health is not a sagging mattress—it’s the threats we create to our own environment. The 21st century is plagued with environmental abuse. Our world is burdened by and overuse of fossil fuels (which contribute to global climate change); wastefulness caused by un-recycled materials; and corporations who care more about turning a profit than the ethics required to keep our world turning.
As a health-driven company, Recover Mattress understands the importance of Environmental Health. We hope hundreds of generations will enjoy active lifestyles filled with quality rest. Therefore, it is our mission to implement innovative production solutions to reduce our carbon footprint.
40 GALLONS FRIENDLIER
Recover Mattress is 40 gallons friendlier to the environment than foam-only mattresses. Producing foam-only mattresses requires enormous amounts of crude oil. Hybrid mattresses are actually better for your back, and better for the environment. By implementing a hybrid design, Recover Mattress eliminates the need for an all-foam encasement, and saves 40 gallons of crude oil for every 100 queen mattresses we sell.
Every year, our manufacturer repurposes nearly a million tons of scrap steel to create our ComfortCore Coils, as well as other innersprings. This saves incalculable amounts of energy that would otherwise be required to create new steel.
Lowering our carbon footprint is a top priority for the Recover Mattress team. We believe everyone has a responsibility to live, and eco-friendly. We applied for CertiPUR certification so our customers could rest assured that their mattress was made ethically.
Recover Mattress is made without: ozone depleters, formaldehyde, phthalates, PBDEs, TDCPP or TCEP flame retardants, mercury, lead, or other heavy metals. We work hard to promote excellent air quality—in your bedroom and in our environment—so you can sleep easy.
By implementing compression technology, we can ship Recover Mattress directly to your home. This means there are no more showrooms, no more salesmen—and no more wasted energy. We don’t have to expend precious energy to heat, cool, and light far-away mattress stores. And you don’t have to burn fossil fuels to drive to them.
